Day One"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Woke up early, turns out  a little too early.\u00a0 I&#8217;m realizing that the official Sunrise &amp; Sunset times are based on the flat lands.\u00a0 Up in the mountains the sun sets\u00a0 behind a mountain a little earlier than expected, and it takes a little extra time to rise in the morning also.\u00a0\u00a0 I was up at 5:30AM and the sun didn&#8217;t rise above the &#8220;horizon&#8221; until 7:30AM.\u00a0 The wait was worth it.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I was up in the Terraces here in Mammoth.<\/p>\n<p>Later we headed south towards Norris Basin.\u00a0 Our first stop was Sheepeater&#8217;s\u00a0 Cliff.\u00a0 The Cliff itself is only so so, but if you continue along the river you come to a nice gorge.\u00a0 I was lucky because it had a lot of Autumn color.<\/p>\n<p>Norris Basin is amazing.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t wait to develop the pictures from there.<\/p>\n<p>All in all a good first day.\u00a0 Hope to have some photos to share soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Woke up early, turns out a little too early.\u00a0 I&#8217;m realizing that the official Sunrise &amp;
