{"id":419,"date":"2010-01-05T20:53:58","date_gmt":"2010-01-06T03:53:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/randystetzimages.com\/blog\/?p=419"},"modified":"2012-02-05T22:05:48","modified_gmt":"2012-02-05T22:05:48","slug":"sunset-on-the-tower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/click-sandiego.com\/rsi\/2010\/01\/05\/sunset-on-the-tower\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunset on the Tower"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I thought that the sunset would be nice on Sunday, but I didn&#8217;t have much time to get anywhere. \u00a0I rushed over to Balboa Park and there was a 5 minute window where the color was amazing. \u00a0I took a few photos of the bell tower, and even tried to whip off an HDR or 2. \u00a0The problem was that there&#8217;s a palm tree right next to the tower with a little wind. \u00a0This caused the palm to be very soft in the HDR versions.<\/p>\n<p>The color in the correctly exposed version had some amazing color but the tower was too dark. \u00a0I thought that I&#8221;d use the adjustment brush in Lightroom but had spotty results. \u00a0Then I decided to bring the photo into Nik Viveza. \u00a0Since the color was naturally over the top, there was no reason to touch this. \u00a0But I realized that I could add U Points to increase the exposure on the tower. \u00a0Worked easily with no masking required.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/randystetzimages.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/IMG_4037-Edit-2-Edit1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-421\" src=\"https:\/\/click-sandiego.com\/images\/oldpostpics\/sunsetonthetower.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought that the sunset would be nice on Sunday, but I didn&#8217;t have much time to get anywhere. \u00a0I rushed over to Balboa Park and there was a 5 minute window where the color was amazing. \u00a0I took a few photos of the bell tower, and even tried to whip off an HDR or [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[7,8],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-419","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-photo-education","category-san-diego"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
