National Coming Out Day

Today, Wally Swan is at the National Coming Out Day event with 270 people. The luncheon at the Marriott City Center is sponsored by Quorum, the Twin Cities premiere business association.

Wally’s paper”Integrating New Technologies: The Status of Hybrid, Online and Face-to-Face Public Administration Courses” has just been accepted by the International Conference on Public Administration, which will be holding its conference in Hyderabad, India in late October.

Wally Swan is staying at the Chicago South Loop hotel, which has wonderful contemporary African American art in the lobby. He is here for the 2012 Government Finance Officer’s Association at McCormick Place; in preparation for teaching Public Fiscal Management at Hamline fall 2012 and spring 2013.

 

The President of the United States, Barack Obama, is at the Bachelor Farmer  (middle of photo), a restaurant 2 blocks away from my condo.

I have been completing work on several things recently: (1) I have been grading final papers for the Hybrid and Traditional Organization Theory/Behavior classes at Hamline University, (2) I have been writing an Abstract for a proposal for a paper for the International Conference on Public Administration conference at Osmania University in Hyderabad India, (3) I am nearing the end of a class on “Ethics and Social Policy” at Walden University, and (4)I am planning to go to the Government Finance Officers Association conference in Chicago in June 2012; and I will be teaching Public Fiscal Management this fall at Hamline University.
