Maps on my IPod Touch

Scott Kelby had a good idea the other day.  It was related to keeping PDF versions of your camera manual on your iPhone.   I realized that it would also be a good idea to keep copies of Maps & hiking directions with you while in the field.  So I’ve gone out on the web and found some good PDF maps of Grand Teton & Yellowstone.  I also converted descriptions of the local hikes to PDF.  I’ve now loaded these onto my I Pod Touch.

The way to do this is to go to the Apps store and download the “Good Reader” App.  It is also really helpful to get a program for your PC called “I Phone Explorer”.  This makes it really easy to load the PDF files onto you I Phone / I Pod Touch.

Now I will have tons of good information with me at all times.  Without having to figure out how to refold all those maps.
